Jessica (Jess) McElwain (née Bruce) is a proud born and raised Calgarian. She is described as a friendly, positive, optimistic person with a good - but often dry - sense of humour. She has always had an innate desire to help others however she can, believes in the importance of equal rights for all, and treating others how you want to be treated. She has spent most of her adult life working in administrative positions. This includes previous roles in the healthcare (optical and neurorehabilitation therapy), insurance and insurance restoration industries.
In her current venture with jEDiCA, she hopes to focus on supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses that are passionate about making an impact on their community through the specialized services they provide clients or unique products they offer.
Jess likes to spend her weekends outside, typically hiking, backpacking, snowshoeing, trailer camping, or just sitting in front of a campfire when getting out of town isn’t an option. This isn’t to say she doesn’t appreciate a good Netflix binge on a Sunday with her husband, cat, and an assortment of snacks - after all, it is all about balance. She has an affinity for all types of Pho and spicy Thai peanut soup, prosecco, Spicy Doritos, most animals, cold brew coffee and lattes, comfy pants, horror movies, video games, and making the world a better place.
If you feel like Jess might be the right fit to provide virtual assistance to your business, please don't hesitate to reach out.
